Giuseppe D’Angelo was a sixty-three-year-old pensioner who was mistaken for a mob boss and shot dead in 2006. Below is a photograph taken in 2017 when the authorities, including the mayor of Palermo, unveiled the plaque in honour of D’Angelo in the little square that has been named after him.
