Marinella is a hamlet located on the southern coast of Sicily, in the western province of Trapani. While still a fishing village, Marinella is now heavily dependent on seasonal tourism. Its position near Menfi, which is renowned for its wineries, and the famous ancient Greek city of Selinunte attracts many foreigners. The hamlet is full of apartments for rent, and there is even a four-star hotel. In 2011, it had a population of 1,499.
